2023 Coaching Education Grant Recipients

MONTREAL, QC (April 11, 2023) — In collaboration with the Coaching Association of Canada, Game Plan is proud to announce its support of 16 Team Canada athletes as they take the next steps in advancing their coaching careers through the Coaching Education Program. Recipients will each receive funding of up to $1000 to help cover the costs of training to become a coach in either the Competition-Development stream or of the Advanced Coaching Diploma. 

The Coach Education Program was developed by the Coaching Association of Canada and Game Plan to help transitioning athletes begin their coaching careers while fostering growth and excellence in the Canadian sports system. This is the 8th iteration of the program and these 16 athletes have a wealth of knowledge in their respective sports. We look forward to seeing the positive impact that they will have in the Canadian sport system and on the next generation of Team Canada athletes.

About Game Plan

Game Plan is Canada’s holistic athlete wellness program that is a collaboration between the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC), Sport Canada and the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network (COPSIN).
