Karolina Wisniewska
Game Plan Manager
Karolina has worked in support of Canada’s high performance sport system and Games planning for many years, beginning with working on the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Vancouver and including working in high performance and partnerships at Sport Canada. Karolina has also worked in the Canadian arts sector, with a particular focus on cultural diplomacy, international partnerships, and the visual arts.
She has always believed in putting athletes and their needs first, and has a personal interest in concussion awareness and prevention as well as in access to opportunities across the sport system for girls and women, new Canadians, and people with disabilities.
As Manager of Game Plan, Canada’s total athlete wellness program, she is proud to collaborate with colleagues from across the sport system to contribute to the success and growth of Game Plan.
Karolina was a member of the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team for many years and represented Canada at 3 Paralympic Winter Games, winning 8 medals. She was Canada’s most decorated athlete of the 2002 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the first Paralympic athlete to be inducted into the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame. She was the Athlete Ambassador for Team Canada at the 2006 Torino Paralympic Winter Games and will reprise this role at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Summer Games.
